Large Ostium Secundum ASD Occlusion with Memopart ASD Occluder
نویسندگان
چکیده
Transcatheter occlusion of ASD with device is an effective, alternative to surgical repair : feasible and safe procedure minimal complication rate short hospital stay, as well excellent long term outcome .However, large ASDs (>38 mm) defects deficient rims are usually not offered transcatheter closure but referred for closure. also remains controversial other complicated comorbidities, additional cardiac features in small children. Previous studies have shown high success rate, low less discomfort[1,2] . With the devices technology currently available, several cohort reported successful percutaneous above-mentioned complex cases. However feasibility safety technique needs be confirmed through larger longer follow-up.

A trial septal defects (ASDs) are one of the most common congenital heart defects, with a prevalence estimated to affect 100 of 100,000 live births.1 ASDs are classified according to location, the most frequent being secundum ASD (75%–80%), primum ASD (15%–20%), sinus venosus (5%–10%), and the less common defect, coronary sinus (< 1%). These defects frequently result in left-to-right shunting. ...

Three-dimensional transesophageal echocardiography (3D TEE) further clarified th...
